Overview
We were approached by two clients in the space of two weeks to discuss managing their expediting process.
The clients identified that their supply chain departments were spending about 27% of their time on managing the expediting process. This was tying up valuable resources which could have otherwise focused their time and efforts on more value-adding activities.
The expediting process was very manual and used spreadsheets with no visibility of real-live data.
Approach
Having agreed in principle to manage the process, we advised the client that rather than replacing their staff with our team, we can develop an eExpediting solution that would allow them to manage the process with a significantly reduced administrative burden.
Deliverables
